College Football Betting Guide Week 4: Field Bunches Up As New Leaders Emerge
It was 50% winners and 50% losers for our panel of experts in week 3 as we scored an even 24-24 on our collective picks. We’re going to have to really buckle down and improve, and I see us doing just that this week.
Standings have flipped a little bit as some early frontrunners had poor week 3’s and bunched up the middle of the table.

I’ve recently been thinking we should establish some sort of prize or trophy for the winner of this at the end of the season. Maybe that’s just because I’m tied for 1st at the moment though. Let us know what you think on that in the comments below.
As usual, here our all of our picks for week 4. We’ve got 2 consensus selections this week, although you may want to start fading those as they don’t have a great track record so far.
Runder Arrade
Northwestern @ Indiana – Over 49.5
Ohio State -27.5
Western Michigan +7
UCF +3
LOCK: SCAR @ Alabama – Over 53.5
I feel like I’m falling into a trap here. Am I missing something? This total should be a touchdown higher, right? Both teams have prolific offenses and are suspect on defense. Both have explosive quarterbacks who can make big plays but also give the other team a short field by turning the ball over. Add those together and we should surely get buckets of points, correct? I think the Cocks have the talent to at least hang around in this one early, similar to how Kentucky did against Bama. I’m seeing at least 3 TDs each for LaNorris Sellers and Keelon Russell as we get a shootout under the lights in Tuscaloosa.
Jerry Rosenblatt
Nebraska -5.5
Michigan -5.5
South Florida -17.5
Virginia -19.5
LOCK: Georgia -13.5
Until they move beyond Mateer, Oklahoma is going to be bust not boom. Georgia has been looking solid thus far, and they’ll keep things loud in their first conference game at home. I like Georgia to win big in this one as they keep themselves in contention for top dawg in the SEC.
Ovaltine Jenkins
Mississippi State -6.5
Iowa +5.5
Ole Miss +3.5
Tennessee +5.5
LOCK: LSU -8.5
The Bayou Bengals played a great game against a strong Ole Miss team away from Baton Rouge last week and are now desperate to get their national title hopes back on track. On the other side, Texas A&M put up an absolute stinker against Kentucky at home, and they might just be a not great team. Don’t overthink it!
Pookie Beadson
Texas -5.5
Nebraska -5.5
Georgia -13.5
Baylor -10
LOCK: Hawai’i -3
Fresh off a bye week, the Rainbow Warriors are gifted with a matchup against a Wyoming Cowboys team still licking their wounds after a devastating loss in last week’s Pookie Snooze Bowl. Spoiler alert: the Cowboys still stink. Yee haw!
Mr. PG
Wake Forest +12.5
Florida -3.5
Central Michigan +41.5
Oregon @ USC – Over 62.5
LOCK: Georgia -13.5
Who’s that coming down the track?!? The Dawgs are BARKING (woof woof). Doing practice drills mid-game last week is an all time Kirby move. He’s taking no prisoners, and Venables season is ending sooner rather than later.
Brick Cash III
Cal ML
Maryland +1.5
Hawai’i -3
Penn State -10
LOCK: Notre Dame -27.5
My picks have been super stellar so far (NOT). Figure I’d give myself a break and put a big fat juicy meatball up for you. I’m just gonna trust the Irish here. They’re rolling, and I think they come out flying and cruise to an easy cover.
Dirty Tomas
Oregon -3
Ohio State -27.5
UCLA -1.5
Iowa +5.5
LOCK: Indiana -21
Friday Night Lights in Bloomington. The Rock will be rocking. Indiana and their explosive offense will put up the points. This game feels similar to IU vs Illinois last year – that one got outta hand early. Efficiency and The Standard is all you need to know. Start your weekend out right, boys.
Adam McGee
Penn State -10
Miami (FL) -41.5
Arizona -10
Oregon -3
LOCK: Ole Miss +3.5
Ole Miss has looked impressive so far this year while Chambliss makes a run for the Heisman. Florida’s defense looked suspect last week and won’t be able to keep up with my landsharks. Just hope Lacy plays (still questionable at the moment) because this line will drop to 2.5 if he does.
Consensus Picks
These are expert picks that have a combined point total of 3 or higher (locks count as 2). Selections that fade that pick count as -1 (-2 for locks).
Georgia -13.5 (5)
Hawai’i -3 (3)

Rosenblatt’s blind trust of UVa makes me sick to my stomach. I think it bites him in the you-know-what this week… At least I hope it does!!
He is a UVA-homer, cut the guy some slack!
You want a prize for making the best picks? I was kind of assuming you were putting down some money on those picks. Doesn’t that mean you’re already winning?
I think he means he wants something to show that he is better than all of the other experts. Maybe some kind of object to signify superiority
